Prepping My Summer Schedule
Setting realistic expectations for myself, my fam, and my clients
I'm not sure about you, but we just dropped our kiddos off for the last day of this school year. Gracie's confident smile with her shoes on the wrong feet always makes me laugh.
I'd be lying if I didn't have a million thoughts behind my smile, and a lot of those are about the summer schedule that is upon us.
Between summer camps, swim lessons, sports camps, and sitters, I know I must make some adjustments. Maybe you'll find one or two useful, and please respond back with tips that help you navigate summertime!
Things I’ve done to prep for the least amount of chaos and the most realistic expectations:
adjusted my to-dos in Asana (project management software) that I typically do regularly, but I can pause for now
pushed out some projects deadlines that I wanted to do, but know aren’t a priority for the next 3 months
adjusted my Google calendar to account for new drop-off times, pick-up times, vacations, etc, and made sure they’re marked as “busy”
looked over Calendly (online schedule). While my Google calendar and calendly sync up, I double-checked that I didn’t miss anything
pulled back on how many clients I can take at once
extended my turnaround times with client deliveries where needed
For me, these will help relieve some pressure I tend to put on myself because my capacity is limited.
If you’re adjusting your schedule for summer, I would love to hear some of those changes and tips!
