Why I Rebranded After 5 Years

The story that sparked a BIG change in my brand!

It's a whole story, so grab your drink and settle in my friend…

What feels like forever ago, I presented the pivot of Small Business Cultivator to the 1 Million Cups community. We had previously targeted our services for those in the "messy middle" and pivoted to those who were experts in their field currently working in a corporate setting, but wanted to launch their own business.

During this conversation, the infamous David Clithero of Hawthorn Bank asked, "With this change in your target market, does the name Small Business Cultivator still make sense?"

"I love that question, and we haven't dug into that just yet, but we have a team meeting next week, and that'll be on the agenda." Or something like that.

Fast forward to our team meeting. Our brand strategist, Alicia, ran us through her brand audit process. Asking amazing questions to really look at where we were, who we were, where we wanted to go, and then looking to see if that all aligned.

When we really dug into the name, we all decided that it didn't make sense anymore. We also talked about how we get a lot of questions about how it's set up since I "own it," and they're all contractors.

So, it was decided that it would make more sense to bring it under my brand and change the name from Small Business Cultivator to Quick Launch Program (pun totally intended!)

That brought up another question: Small Business Cultivator has a badass, strong, clear brand and message. If it were brought under my brand, would it feel like it fit? I launched my personal brand right after closing my coworking space, The Hatchery… five years ago!

As you would imagine (and hope), I've grown a shit ton since then. In my offerings, my experience, my confidence, and so much more.

It was clear to me and our team that my current business and brand didn't fit who I'd grown into. So, right on the spot, I hired our team to take me through the exact process we use with clients (side note: it was the lite version since I had already been in business).

Leveling up my business and brand has been more than just colors, words, meetings, and systems.

It's been deep inner work and an investment in both money and myself - who do I actually serve? Is that who I want to service? What am I worthy of? Do I actually believe this stuff they're saying about me?!

It's been a roller coaster of emotions, and it's all been 100% worth it! When I open up my website, I see who I've grown into, and it's MUCH more clear. The language is truly me…which I know will cause some to click the X button, but it will cause the right people to submit a form.

A peek behind the curtain at what changed:

  • Brand Strategy: Clearer and more conscious messaging that fits who I've grown to be and what I truly offer. No more generic business coach talk - just me being real about how I help experts disrupt their industry.

  • Branding Elements: Bolder, brighter, and stronger visuals that match the energy I bring to client relationships. If my brand were a person, she'd be the one making everyone laugh while dropping truth bombs.

  • Systems: Streamlined processes that enhance the client experience and offer scalability for my growing team. We've cut the fluff and focused on what actually needs to be done by me and what doesn’t.

  • Website: A cleaner, more optimized, and bolder site that pulls in all the above for a solid customer experience. Go check it out at amandaleequick.com and see the transformation!

  • Social Media: An overall strategy and posting schedule that includes my authentic brand voice and all the insights you need. No more corporate-speak - expect real talk about building exceptional businesses.

  • Finances: The behind-the-scenes work of truly examining numbers to set prices and goals that reflect the value we deliver. (Spoiler: Like most clients, it was time for a price increase)

There you are! The full story behind the refresh!

A huge thanks to the Quick Launch Program team and to you all for being here. I'm excited to continue to hold space for you and see how/where I can help you bring some disruptive simplification to your business 💕
